​Coming from background and childhood with little formal knowledge about care for the elderly or dementia, I could not take care of my dad and my grandmother because I did not know what care was, let alone dementia.

So migrating to UK taught me and opened my awareness to care . I then decided to train as a registered nurse and work on elderly wards and care homes to be able to give to others and their loved ones the love and care I couldn’t give to my father and grandmother to others.

And I did just that in the NHS and a variety of the Care homes in Suffolk.

I also formed a recruitment agency about 6 years ago to recruit nurses and carers to a variety to settings to work and continue the good work.

​Relocating to Suffolk twenty-three years ago I decided to join the world of care I worked there for 7 years and completed my NVQ level 3. This was not enough for me I wanted to grow my management skills so I spend the next few years doing this by being an Area Manager in the military hospitality sector before discovering my passion, healthcare, specifically domiciliary care which allowed me to support individuals within their communities and ensure that they could live a safe and dignified life in their own home.

After spending some time working as a shift manger for the NHS 111 service and enhancing my management skills with a private healthcare company, I returned to domiciliary care at the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, so that I could support the most vulnerable in our communities to lead safe and fulfilling lives.

During the last four years I have advanced from providing individual care to deputy and then becoming a registered manager, leading a team to deliver exceptional individual care.
In the last year I completed my NVQ level 5 and I am in the process of completing NVQ level 6 and 7.
I have now joined Megakare as their registered manager as I share their belief that a well trained supported carers will always deliver the best possible care for individuals. And so here I am excited to be able to support my team to deliver excellent community-based care and to ensure all our clients have the ability to live their lives with as much dignity, independence and quality as possible with the help of our highly trained caregivers.
